Sword of the Exiled

Co-operative sci-fi stealth puzzler.

Premise

The humans have built an outpost on the planet Mars. A city of opulence and wonder develops, but it is plagued by a rash of alien immigrants from Venus. The humans erected a wall and defenses to keep out the illegal aliens. Play as an illegal alien and sneak past the guards into the paradise that lies behind the walls.

Multiplayer & Networking

Using Photon we created a fully fledged multiplayer suite with lobbies, usernames and a server browser. Players match up and enter the game together to face off against our networked state machine AI that tries to hunt down the players while they sneak through the compound and solve puzzles.

Puzzles

I designed a puzzle system in which beams of lights must be bent and combined using prisms. These beams of light are directed to receivers to open pathways and remove obstacles. Players are introduced to increasingly complex puzzles and new mechanics to provide a comfortable curve in to the most advanced mechanics of the system.

Stealth Guard AI

The guards realistically 'hear' you through walls or around corners if you are running, or can see players easier if they are standing versus crouching. Guards will also search last known player locations. These are just a few features of our guard AI.
